Modified liquor ban, lifting of curfew in Davao City extended until June 30
Mayor Sara Duterte released today (Jan. 12) Executive Order (EO) No. 1 extending the modified guidelines on liquor ban and lifting of curfew from January 16 until June 30.

Sara issued the first EO for this year based on Presidential Proclamation 1218, series of 2021, that extended the State of Calamity in the country until September 12, and the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) Resolution No. 156-C placing the city under Alert Level 3 status from January 14 to January 31.

EO 1 bans the selling of liquor from 1 a.m. to 8 a.m. daily.

The order also mandates a 24-hour daily ban on serving liquor for consumption in bars, restaurants, sari-sari stores, wet markets, videoke, and other business establishments; and drinking liquor in public places, including, but not limited to streets, alleys, pathways, and outside of gates.

Liquor may only be served and consumed inside private properties.

Meanwhile, the curfew time in all public places in the city is also lifted.

Based on the COVID-19 Regional Daily Case from the Department of Health (DOH) 11, the city had a total of 811 active cases on January 12, raising the total cases since March 2020 to 54,700. Of this number, 52,094 have recovered and 1,795 died.

Currently, the city is now at 95.52 percent for its first doses and 90.24 percent for second doses of its target number of inoculations as reported by the Davao City Task Force COVID-19 on January 10.
