Comelec Commissioner George Erwin Garcia during the Laging Handa briefing on Monday (March 28) said their regional and provincial offices are already told to gather reports of violation so that they can identify the violators. Violation on campaigning before the prescribed campaign period is also included, he added.
He said the Comelec already gave regional and provincial offices the requirements for their report such as the submission of an affidavit of compliance.
He said the affidavit of compliance will be the basis of how many violations the candidate and political party have committed.
Garcia said they are going to send notice to violators and will be asked to explain and will possibly face charges and disqualification.
