In an official statement released Friday, November 6, the Office of the Vice President (OVP) confirmed that Duterte had secured permission from the Regional Trial Court (RTC) of Quezon City, Branch 98, to travel abroad.
According to the OVP, the court issued the travel order on November 3, 2026. The Office of the President also granted the corresponding travel authority.
"The Vice President has secured an order dated November 3, 2026, from the Regional Trial Court of Quezon City, Branch 98, granting permission for the intended travel abroad," the OVP said.
The office also clarified that Duterte would shoulder all expenses for the trip using her personal funds.
"The Vice President shall cover the cost of her travel using personal funds," the statement read.
It further emphasized that "no government money, resources, or facilities shall be used in connection with her travel."
The OVP did not provide further details on the specific engagements scheduled during her three-day visit.
