The BOC-Port of Davao in its statement Friday said the shipments were pre-cleared last December 24, via Port of Davao’s Customer Care Center and One-Stop-Shop.
The said vaccines were immediately transported and underguarded to the DOH Cold Storage Room located at the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC).
Currently, the BOC has facilitated the release of 201,121,670 doses of COVID 19 vaccines. 196,190,120 were released from Port of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), 3,410,550 from Port of Cebu-Mactan International Airport, and 1,521,000 from Port of Davao-Davao International Airport.
Davao District collector Lawyer Erastus Sandino B. Austria said, the port is committed to expeditiously clear and release all inward Department of Health (DOH) COVID-19 Vaccines in full support of the Philippine Government’s national program to fight the adverse effects brought about by the pandemic.
