Go in an interview at Davao Oriental Provincial Medical Center in Mati City on Thursday said he will refile another Senate bill for the death penalty to heinous crimes involving illegal drugs and plunder.
“Ang kampanya po ni Pangulong Duterte laban sa droga, kriminalidad at korapsyon sa gobyerno ay dapat ipagpatuloy,” he said.
The senator said all these heinous crimes are connected with each other which should be stopped by having a stiff penalty such as death sentence.
“ Sayang po yung gains na ginawa natin pag bumalik po ang droga, babalik na naman po ang korapsyon at kriminalidad kasi makokorap na naman ang tao pag andyan ang droga,”he said.
Go said if a person is not afraid of committing crimes due to the influence of illegal drugs, violence will prevail again in the streets.
“Sayang po ang inumpisahan ni Pangulong Duterte. Ako naman po , napatunayan naman na in the past six years, tingnan niyo na mas nakakalakad ang inyong mga anak pauwi sa inyong bahay na hindi nababastos at hindi nasasaktan,” he said.
However, he said that the proposal will still be up for his co-legislators if they agree with it since he only has one vote to push it to become a law.
“Ang tanong, eh kung susuportahan ng 23 senador, wala naman pong problema diyan,” he said.
Go said he is hoping that other senators and members of the house of representatives will support and vote for the approval of this bill.
