The ceremony was held at Riverbank Ayala, Barangay Apokon, Tagum City, Davao del Norte on December 13.
The soldiers donated four hospital beds, two reclining wheelchairs, and numerous toys to the children.
The recipients were either abandoned, neglected, or have intellectual disabilities and neurodevelopmental disorders. Food packs were also distributed.
Center Head of Angel's Haven Edgardo B Requilme was overwhelmed by the presents they received from the Agila Troopers this yuletide season.
"Daghan ta og mga bata nga nanginahanglan ana. Malipayon kaayo mi kay nakutlo namo ang isa sa among pangandoy, ang pagtubag sa 10th Infantry Division, Philippine Army," Requilme said.
10th ID Chief of Staff Colonel Felix Ronnie B Babac who represents their commander Major General Nolasco A Mempin, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the sponsors and participants in the recent fund-raising 10th ID Golf Tournament in Davao City on November 30. The funds collected were used to buy the gifts given to the welfare institution.
"Ang mga kasundaluhan sa 10ID usa sa inyong makanunayong katambayayong sa pag-alagad ug pag-amuma sa mga kabataan ingon man sa pagprotekta sa malungtarong kalinaw ug kalamboan sa atong komunidad,” Babac further said.
The gift giving is part of the command’s Christmas season activities.
