CIDG 11 Director Brigadier General Ronald Lee identified the suspect as Daniel Madiano Maconlay, 54, a resident of Purok 2, Brgy. Anitapan, Mabini, Davao de Oro.
According to Lee, Maconlay was a former member of the Militia ng Bayan (MILBAY) who were involved in extortion activity in the areas of Maco-Mabini-Pantukan in said province.
Maconlay was tagged as the top 1 most-wanted person of Davao Region.
The suspect was arrested through a warrant of arrest for murder issued by Honorable Celestial V. Aranda-Gonzales, Presiding Judge RTC, 11th Judicial Region, Mabini, Davao de Oro on December 2, 2021.
No bail bond recommended for the murder case.
Seized from the possession of Maconlay were an improvised 12 Gauge Shotgun, magazine assembly, and seven pieces of bullets.
