DAVAO CITY — The Department of Agriculture-Davao Region has clarified that there is currently no confirmed African Swine Fever (ASF) outbreak in Davao de Oro.
DA-11 Regional Executive Director Macario Gonzaga said the information circulating about ASF in the province stemmed from a memorandum issued by the Local Government Unit of Monkayo, which served as an alert and precautionary measure.
Gonzaga emphasized that the memorandum should not be interpreted as confirmation of an ASF outbreak in the province.
The DA continues to monitor the situation and urges hog raisers and the public to rely on official announcements regarding ASF.
