DAVAO CITY- A transport leader was fatally shot by a lone gunman while walking on his way back to his residence in Purok 9-A Bonifacio, Super Highway, Barangay Aplaya, Digos City, Davao del Sur at around 7p.m Wednesday (November 17).
Police Lieutenant Colonel Hamlet Lerios, Digos City chief of police, said the victim, Ronald Batukael Sabandal, 50, was chairman of Digos-Padada Transport Cooperative.
Lerios said Sabandal sustained a gunshot wound at the back portion of his head causing his death.
There was no fired cartridge and fired bullet recovered by the authorities in the area, according to Lerios.
Police said they are currently investigating the incident and conducting hot pursuit operations against the suspects.
