17 Davao City scholars passed physician licensure exam
Up to 17 scholars under Davao City's Educational Benefit System Unit (EBSU) passed the physician licensure examination held in October.

EBSU Technical Assistant Mr. Emilio Domingo Jr. said that of the 16, 15 graduated from the Davao Medical School Foundation while the two others finished their medical course at Brokenshire College. 

Domingo said the city, especially the EBSU, is happy that they passed. He said every year, majority of EBSU scholars for medical school passed the physician licensure exam.

Based on the list issued by the Philippine Regulatory Commission (PRC), this year’s passers are Hermie Luz Casabar, Primo IV Delos Reyes, Irson Thurs Doria, Beryl Encabo, Allisa Mae Goneda, Kyle Jan Juban, Charles Luke Lumakin, Alexandra Najera, Charles Wisley Odal, Jun Paolo Orlanes, Kimberly Claire Paragele, Christelle Samaniego, Clint Sevilla, Jann Chester Tamondong, Korina Mae Vidal, Daphnie Shane Gentapan, and Louie Gokotano.

Currently, the city has already produced a total of 40 EBSU scholars who became physicians from 57 graduates since 2018.

The city also gives educational assistance to law school students and those who are in college.
