Davao City wins gold in chess girls at National PRISAA Games
DAVAO CITY---The girls' chess team of Region 11, represented by Jose Maria College of Davao City, won gold in the PRISAA National Games in Zamboanga City on July 16.

The team, composed of Sophia Deliva, Charlene Moulic, and Jackie Lou Andoy, scored 10 points after five rounds to win the gold medal in the tournament by some of the top young chessers in the Philippines.

Getting the silver and bronze are regions three and five, respectively.

Deliva also finished in third place for bronze in the individual category after scoring 8.5 points after five rounds. (Romeo Braceros Jr.)
