DAVAO CITY---Promising chessers Jernie Jasper Quidet and Jastine Taglocop were the big winners in the 2021 Maragusan Christmas Chess Tournament last December 23 inside the Municipal Compound, Maragusan, Davao de Oro.
Quidet won the kiddies category while Taglocop won the open category.
Both Quidet and Taglocop are natives of Davao de Oro.
Quidet and Taglocop received cash as prizes.
Some of the top chess players in Davao de Oro joined the tournament earlier.
The tournament was organized by the local government unit of Maragusan of Mayor Maricel "Ate Maris" Colina- Vendiola through the Sports Development Section. (Romeo Braceros Jr.)
