Each beneficiary received Php 15, 000. 00 worth of livelihood assistance. The said recipients include farmers, fisherfolks, and solo-parents.
Among the recipients, 124 were from Lamitan City, 68 from Tipo-Tipo, 74 from Mohammad Ajul, 87 from Maluso, 141 from Sumisip, and 86 from Tabuan lasa.
According to Samra S. Alik, SLP’s Regional Program Coordinator in BARMM, the program aims to reach a total of 690 beneficiaries in Basilan this year.
“The payout for the remaining 110 beneficiaries will be set in the coming weeks after the election,” Alik explained.
The Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) is a nationally-funded program of MSSD that aims to empower entrepreneurial skills through capacity building and to provide capacity building to improve the program’s beneficiary socio-economic status. (PR)
