Regional police gets 91% trust index: survey
The Police Regional Office (PRO) 11 got the highest trust rating at 91 percent, the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) survey showed.

The survey also showed that the regional police received a 90 percent respect index.

The survey also showed that Davaoeños are satisfied with the performance of the police in maintaining peace and order in the region. The regional police receive a 92 percent safety index.

The regional police in its statement said the positive result of the survey suggests that residents of Davao Region have a favorable opinion about their police force.

“This demonstrates their high regard for PRO 11 and sense of security, which boosts public confidence in our policemen,” the statement said.

Major Eudisan Gultiano during the AFP-PNP Press Corps briefing Wednesday (Oct.19) at The Royal Mandaya Hotel meanwhile, said the ratings speaks for the situation here in Davao Region, which is generally peaceful and safe.

“We were able to get a very good high rating. Most of the people here in Davao Region nag-take regarded as most respectful, trusted, and they feel very safe in Davao Region,” she said.

PRO 11 director Benjamin Silo Jr. promised that they will continue to serve and protect the people of the region in line with the peace and security framework of the chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP) General Rodolfo Azurin Jr. dubbed as Malasakit,Kaayusan,Kapayapaan tungo sa Kaunlaran. (MKK=K).

MinDA Chairperson Secretary Maria Belen Acosta said this sends the message that now is the best time to come and invest in Mindanao, given the peaceful situation that everybody enjoys.

“With this positive result, we can tell the general atmosphere of safety and security in Mindanao, more particularly, in Davao Region,” Acosta said.
