Colonel Richard Verceles, director of RCSU 11 in a press conference over the weekend said that the assistance center will cater to issues concerning licensing particularly on the application of license to own and possess (LTOP), firearms registration, including license to exercise security profession.
Verceles said the PNP is constantly reminding the firearms owners to possess and secure proper permits, licenses, and registration to avoid confiscation and inconvenience.
He said, in Davao Region, there are about 18,000 recorded loose firearms wherein majority of which is in Davao City.
“In Davao City about 10,000 loose firearms. That is why we are conducting this campaign para ma-reduce ang loose firearms dito sa region,” he said.
Verceles further said the one-stop shop process and provide requirements needed for the application of licenses including national police clearance.
“You don’t need to go to police stations habang namamasyal sa mall, pwede po kayong kumuha ng national police clearance (NPC),” he said.
“Just for the information of everybody, the NPC is equivalent nowadays sa NBI clearance. You could use it nationwide,” he said.
Aside from the convenience, it would be very efficient for the public to process their licenses within the heart of the city during mall hours from 10 am to 10 pm, Verceles added.
He said RCSU 11 and Civil Security Group (CSG) remain committed to providing fast, efficient, and outstanding service to the public and their private stakeholders.
“RCSU 11 will be constant in encouraging the public to be more responsible to register and renew their licenses on time,” Verceles said.
