Matina fire victims get aid
Some 24 families affected by the fire in Tahimik Avenue, Matina Crossing, Davao City received food and non-food assistance from the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO).

CSWDO head lawyer Marlisa Gallo told the City Information Office that her office completed the giving of assistance to the fire victims on Wednesday.

“We have assisted the 24 families and the financial assistance is being processed,” Gallo said. 

Based on CSWDO's final report, the fire incident left 13 houses totally damaged while two are partially damaged with a total estimated damage cost of P3.557 million.

The affected families and their dependents are now staying at the Christ the King Chapel while others are staying with their relatives.
