Escobal reminds cops to remain non-partisan
DAVAO CITY- Regional Police chief Brigadier General Filmore Escobal warned his personnel to remain non-partisan and remain devoted to their job to maintain a peaceful and orderly conduct of May 2022 elections.

In his message during the launching of Secure, Accurate, Free/Fair National and Local Elections (SAFE) 2022-KASIMBAYANAN (Kapulisan,Simbahan, Pamayanan) on Wednesday (Feb 23) at PRO 11 Grandstand, Camp Quintin Merecido,Buhangin this city, Escobal reminded his personnel to refrain from neither giving nor showing support to any political candidate or groups.

The program is in partnership with the Commission on Elections (Comelec) together with the different Religious Sectors, various Non-Government Agencies, Local Government Units, Political Candidates, Advocacy Support Groups and other Stakeholders.

During the launching, the concerned participants conducted an Interfaith Prayer, Candle Lighting, Covenant Signing and Releasing of White Doves.

The different agencies, organizations, units, and stockholders have also signed the pledge of commitment to SAFE 2022.

Comelec 11 Assistant Regional Director Lawyer Gay Enumerables, meanwhile said that the incoming 2022 National and Local Election will be more challenging with the presence of the COVID-19 pandemic.

She said the launching of KASIMBAYANAN is a remarkable initiative to gather all stakeholders to declare the pledge of commitment for non-partisan elections
