DAVAO CITY---After six years of waiting, the promising center from Lambayog, Sultan Kudarat finally signed a contract to play in the Philippine Basketball Association, the oldest professional basketball league in Asia.

John Ambulodto, 6'5 was signed to a PBA contract by Blackwater Bossing to play in the ongoing 2022 PBA Governor's Cup.

Ambulodto went undrafted in the 2016 PBA draft so he decided to play in other leagues, particularly in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League.

While playing in the MPBL, Ambulodto continues to work hard and dream to play in the PBA.

Finally, after a long wait, Ambulodto was given the chance by the Bossing to play in the PBA due to his hard work and determination.

“He’s another big body to defend imports like Barkley [Ebona]. We like his energy and hustle. I'm sure his hunger will be contagious to the team,” Vanguardia said.

Ambulodto said he is happy and proud to finally play in the PBA after years of waiting.

“Isa ako sa mga sinwerte. Masaya talaga,” Ambulodto said.

“Nagpapasalamat ako na tinanggap nila ako at binigyan ako ng (break). Gagawin ko kung ano ang kailangan at makakatulong sa team,” Ambulodto added.(Romeo Braceros Jr.)
