DAVAO CITY---A 25-year-old do it all basketball player from Digos City, Davao del Sur, is one of the rookies hoping to be drafted in the 2022 PBA rookie draft on May 15.

Jhonard Clarito, a townmate of Barangay Ginebra starting off-guard Scottie Thompson, is trying his luck in the first professional basketball league.

Like Thompson, Clarito is also a good rebounder and scorer in his amateur basketball career as a member of the champion team San Juan Knights in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League.

Although not as popular as the other PBA draftees, basketball experts still predicted that Clarito could be picked in this year's draft due to his skills and work ethic.

Clarito, who went to Metro Manila to pursue his basketball dream, is a consistent double-double player or someone who can score, rebound and defend.

If he gets picked in the draft, Clarito will join Thompson as the second player from the small city of Digos to play in the PBA. (Romeo Braceros Jr.)
