Former HCDC center plays big for CSB Blazers in Malaysia basket tourney
DAVAO CITY---The decision of former Holy Cross of Davao College Crusaders starting center Paul Turco to transfer to Manila to play for De La Salle and now the College of Saint Benilde (CSB) Blazers is yielding positive results.

Turco is playing well in his team's stunning 80-66 victory over Malaysia's national team, Harimau, in the Sportsclick AsiaBasket International Championship on Friday (April 14), at the MABA Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

With their win, the team completed a 4-game sweep of their group elims.

The Blazers got off to a poor start but picked up steam in the second quarter before putting together several scoring surges that allowed them to take the lead, 68-61, going into the final frame.

After Miggy Corteza, Migs Oczon, and Urco resumed their assault to reach the semifinals unbeaten, it was all Benilde.(Romeo Braceros Jr.)
