Davaoeno gym owner wins SEA Games gold
DAVAO CITY—After three tries, Davaoneno gym owner Marc Alexander Lim finally nailed down his first jujitsu gold in the Southeast Asian Games.

After two unsuccessful efforts in the previous two editions, Lim won a gold medal at the SEA Games on Sunday, May 7, when he won the men's ne-waza NOGI-69kg at the Chroy Changvar Convention Center in Cambodia.

The Davaoeo, who had to settle for silver and bronze at the SEA Games in 2019 and 2021, respectively, has finally gotten the monkey off his back.

Kaila Napolis (women's ne-waza GI, 52 kg) and Annie Ramirez (women's ne-waza NOGI, 57 kg) had already won two gold medals for the Philippines jiu-jitsu the previous days. Lim, the owner of Limitless Fitness and Martial Arts Gym along Quirin Avenue here, won the third gold medal for the Philippines (Romeo Braceros Jr.).
