10th ID bags: silver; haul MVP; mythical player awards

The 10th Infantry "Agila" Division bagged numerous awards during the awarding ceremony of the recently concluded AFP-PNP Invitational Basketball Tournament held at the Davao City Recreation Center on March 6, 2023.

Sgt. Rusty Borromeo was named the conference's most valuable player and mythical player. Alongside Sgt. Borromeo, Sgt. Eduardo Mahilum, and Private First Class Junnel Perdido, were also named mythical players of the conference.

Also, Army Major Mark Anthony Tito was named one of the five mythical players for the officer's category for 10ID, while Coach Raphael Claveria was named Coach of the Conference.

Despite 10ID’s effort and having the best record (9W-1L) in the conference, Agila Division remains the underdog against the powerhouse Davao City Mayor's Office. However, in their previous meeting, CMO fell short of 10 ID.

10ID dropped its last game to clinch silver behind Davao City Mayor's Office, 75-69, for the tournament's finals match-up. Meanwhile, the Bureau of Fire Protection 11 settled for bronze against the Police Regional Office 11. (By Macky Lim)
