DAVAO CITY---Instead of the traditional Filipiniana dress, Vice President Inday Sara Duterte will be wearing a tribal dress in the first State of the Nation Address of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on July 25.
According to reports, Duterte will be wearing a dress from the tribe Bagobo Tagabawa, who lives in Region 11.
Duterte's spokesperson, lawyer Reynold Munsayac said Duerte would borrow the dress from Tagabawa Deputy Mayor Bae Sheirelle Anino.
Munsayac said Duterte made a move to promote tribal dresses and give importance to Filipinos' traditional clothing.
Aside from Duterte, other top political leaders are set to attend the SONA of Marcos, which will reportedly narrate his plans for the country in the next six years.(Romeo Braceros Jr.)
