DAVAO CITY—A promising teen chess player from El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental, has been granted the title of National Master by the National Chess Federation of the Philippines.
Keith Adriane Ilar got the title due to his recent success in local, national, and international chess tournaments.
Recently, Ilar shined big-time in the 2023 National Youth and School Chess Championship Grand Finals in Dapitan City, Zamboanga del Norte.
Ilar emerged as champion in the U-17 standard event in the tournament attended by some of the top young chess players in the country.
With his NM title, Ilar is poised to get even higher chess titles due to his skills and hard work in chess. (Romeo Braceros Jr.)
