Panabo City teen rules: Davnor monthly chess Tournament
DAVAO CITY—A promising lady chess player from Panabo City, Davao del Norte, won the monthly chess tournament organized by the provincial government of Davao del Norte.

Princess Dianna Simbajon ruled the June edition of the Davnor monthly chess tournament, which features some of the top young chess players in Davao del Norte.

On April 2, Simbajon won the APM U15 Rapid Chess Tournament at Citymall in Cabantian, Buhangin.

Simbajon scored 6.5 points to win the tournament, joining some of the top chess players in Mindanao.

Simbajon won a P3,000 cash prize.

The second place went to Ratz Jaweh Devibar, who won P1,500.

The third place went to Yriel Josh Hernani, who won P1,000.

The tournament was organized by veteran chess arbiters Jojo Palero, Ely Acas, and Alfred Moulic. (Romeo Braceros Jr.)
