Holy Child footballers win DCAA secondary football crown
Davao City---Twenty-five years since the football program began in their school, the Holy Child College of Davao finally won the Davao City Atheltic Association (DCAA) secondary football crown by beating the tough Rizal Memorial Colleges Bulldogs 4-3 penalty shoot-out at the University of the Philippines football field on March 3.

The win is extra sweet for Red Eagles since the Bulldogs beat them in their elimination round 1-0.

The team is composed of Prince Charl B. Baculot, Michael Jonn M. Peñafiel, Angelo James Pecolados, Mjie R. Mallare, Maverick V. Catad, Lebron Jay H. Pinion, Ken Luis M. Asupra, Johnwey Llyod Camaria, Joshua Arguelles, Ahron Kyle Morales Capul, Blue Xyrille F. Esmero, Sean Kyle Lim, Julio Miguel Rabat, Juniefel Anthony Portillo, Nylion Aquill Alido Daniel Gador, Alfejo Apijas, andJustin Lacierda.

The team reached the finals earlier after beating Crossing Bayabas National High School 2-1 in their semifinal duel.

Coaches Murphy Jake Somosot and Ramonito Carreon are  proud of their achievement since their hard work throughout the years finally paid off.

The third place in the competition went to Davao City National High School.

The Catalunan Grande Elementary School emerged as the champion in the elementary category.(Romeo Braceros Jr.)
