EastMinCom affirms commitment to peace, stability, development
Davao City — The Eastern Mindanao Command (EastMinCom) conducted its 1st Quarter Calendar Year 2026 Command-level Campaign Progress Review and Assessment (CPRA) on April 21, led by its Commander, Lt. Gen. Adonis Ariel G. Orio PA, as part of efforts to sustain operational gains and refine strategic direction across its area of responsibility.

The activity gathered key staff officers  to present and assess ongoing military operations, evaluate the effectiveness of current strategies, and identify priority areas for improvement. It also aimed to align operational priorities, strengthen inter-unit coordination, and ensure responsiveness to the evolving security environment in Eastern Mindanao.

The  command reported gains, including a continued decline in insurgency-related activities, the neutralization of threat groups, and the strengthening of community support mechanisms. It also emphasized consolidating peace gains, enhancing stakeholder engagement, and transitioning toward development-oriented initiatives and external defense operations.

Orio emphasized sustaining operational momentum while adapting to emerging challenges remains critical. He emphasized that continued progress depends on unity of effort, disciplined execution, and sustained collaboration with partner agencies and local communities.

“The challenge now is to translate plans into real readiness, credible capability, and decisive execution,” Orio said. “Our strength will not come from technology alone, but from discipline, preparation, and the ability of our commanders to operate effectively under mission command. Above all, we must never lose sight of our people. Their morale and welfare remain paramount.”

The conduct of the CPRA underscores EastMinCom’s efforts to continuously refine its strategies and fulfill its mandate to support peace, stability and development in Eastern Mindanao.
