Addressing delegates of the 10th National Convention, General Assembly, and Election of National Officers of the Court Stenographers Association of the Philippines (COSTRAPHIL), Duterte welcomed participants to Davao City and recognized their commitment to public service.
“Madayaw ug malipayong pag-abot sa siyudad sa Dabaw,” the message read, as the city government extended its warm reception to members of the judiciary, legal professionals, and stakeholders gathered for the national convention.
Beyond the formal welcome, Duterte’s message highlighted the deeper significance of the stenographers’ work—describing them as essential guardians of truth within the justice system.
“As public servants in the judiciary, you play a crucial role in the administration of justice,” the message stated, noting that their work ensures that rights are protected, proceedings are faithfully recorded, and the legal process remains transparent and accessible.
He underscored that while their role may often unfold behind the scenes, court stenographers serve as the backbone of accurate and reliable court records—an indispensable foundation for fair and credible legal proceedings.
Duterte also commended COSTRAPHIL for fostering professionalism, integrity, and continuous learning among its members, particularly as the judiciary evolves in the digital age under the Strategic Plan for Judicial Innovations (SPJI).
The convention, he noted, is more than a gathering—it is a shared space for growth, collaboration, and renewed commitment to ethical service. He expressed gratitude to the resource speakers and organizers for guiding participants through emerging developments and best practices in the field.
In closing, Duterte called on delegates to carry forward the values that define their profession.
“Let this convention further inspire everyone to continue upholding accountability, integrity, and commitment to preserving justice in the years to come,” he said.
The COSTRAPHIL convention gathers court stenographers from across the country, serving as a platform for strengthening the profession while reinforcing its central role in the pursuit of justice.
