Drug den destroyed in Tagum City; 6 persons nabbed
Authorities have arrested six suspects as they dismantled an alleged drug den during a buy-bust operation conducted at Purok Bougainvilla, Barangay Magugpo North, Tagum City, Davao del Norte, on Saturday, August 8, 2026.
The target of the operation, identified as alias “Jay-ar,” 38 years old, was arrested after he sold one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu worth P7,000 to a PDEA operative disguised as a buyer.
Also arrested are the alleged drug den employee, identified as alias Jessa, and the alleged drug den visitors, identified only as aliases Anat, Dodong, Gaga, and Rico.
Seized during the operation were 15 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, with an approximate total weight of 26 grams and a standard drug price of P182,000, along with assorted drug paraphernalia and the marked buy-bust money.
“We will not tolerate illegal drug activities in the Davao Region. PDEA RO11, together with our law enforcement partners, will continue to pursue drug personalities and dismantle drug dens. Our message is clear: those who engage in the illegal drug trade will be held accountable,” said Attorney Benjamin G. Gaspi Regional Director, PDEA 11.
The arrested individuals will face appropriate charges for violation of Republic Act No. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, as amended.
