CREBA urged to help gov’t build houses for the homeless
DAVAO CITY- Office of the Presidential Assistant for Mindanao (OPAMINE) Secretary Leo Tereso A. Magno encouraged the Chamber of Real Estate Builder Association (CREBA) to help the government fulfill its dream of providing homes to its fellow Filipinos, especially the homeless.

Magno in his speech during the Visayas-Mindanao (VisMin) Regional Housing Conference at the SM Convention Trade Hall in General Santos City said that CREBA and President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. share something in common.

They both take pride in the philosophy “Business with a Social Conscience” anchored on the “Greater Interest of the Greatest Number,” he said.

“This is a challenge to all of you here right now. Let us bring back the pride of what it’s like being a Filipino. The bayanihan spirit. We help someone carry his home and transfer it to a better location,” Magno  in a statement said.

Magno further said “This time around though, we help the homeless build a house that they can call their own. That way, we bring back their pride, their dignity, and their trust in the government and in their fellow Filipinos who went out of their way in helping them.”

He said that there is a different kind of fulfillment knowing that the Filipino people can have a house they can call their home.

The National Government, since September of last year, has already signed 123 Memorandum of Understanding with various Local Government Units for the construction of more than 1 million housing units all over the country.

The 4Ph program of the government targets to build 6 million housing units under the Marcos administration.
