Brgy. 8A fire victims get aid from Rigo Duterte's Office
DAVAO CITY – Acting Vice Mayor Rigo Duterte wasted no time in reaching out to families affected by the August 4 fire that gutted 18 homes in Purok 7, Barangay 8A.

Just a day after the incident, on August 5, Rigo personally delivered cash aid and food packs to 25 displaced families who are now temporarily sheltered at the City High Annex Covered Court. The assistance came from both his office and the office of his father, First District Representative Paolo “Pulong” Duterte.

“I am here to show my support and to bring a little help from both my office and Congressman Pulong’s. We stand with you during this tough time,” Rigo said during the distribution.

He also assured residents that help from their offices doesn’t end there.

“If you have any needs, please come to the office. My door is always open,” he added.

Barangay 8A Captain James Abadilla thanked the acting vice mayor for the immediate response.

“They were very prompt. It’s heartwarming to see our local leaders personally delivering help,” he said.

Councilor Luna Acosta also joined in bringing aid to the victims, further proving that public service remains a priority for many of the incumbent officials.
