COLUMBIO, SULTAN KUDARAT- ACT-CIS Partylist Representative Erwin Tulfo led the distribution of Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in the town of Columbio province of Sultan Kudarat on Thursday (Mar.7) afternoon.

Tulfo, who is also the Deputy Majority Leader of the House of Representatives was accompanied by Governor Datu Pax Ali Mangudadatu of Sultan Kudarat when he handed over the P3,000 aid to each of the 1,000 beneficiaries from 13 barangays in the town at the Columbio Municipal Gymnasium.

The beneficiaries also received family food packs and some raffle items from DSWD and ACT-CIS.

Tulfo praiaed the governor for recommending the Columbio town as a beneficiary of the government’s aid.

He said the assistance is among the programs of the administration of President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. which provides services to all Filipinos across the country.

Tulfo, however, advised the beneficiaries to utilize the financial assistance wisely. This admonition highlights the importance of using the aid effectively to address their immediate needs and improve their circumstances, he said.

Tulfo assures the Indigenous People of the government’s continued support to them.

He also underscored that the funds come from the taxes contributed by hardworking taxpayers.

Mangudadatu, meanwhile thanked the lawmaker for his presence and handed the assistance to his constituents.

The AICS program aims to provide immediate relief to qualified individuals or families who find themselves in crisis situations. It caters to indigent¹, marginalized, poor, or disadvantaged individuals, offering assistance in various forms such as medical, educational, burial, or transportation aid.
