All the men in the family had died. The three widows were left to fend for themselves. Taking the advice of the mother-in-law, one left for her own land, perhaps to get away from all the misery. But Ruth clung to her saying , "Don't urge me to leave you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God."
She had come to know this God, He was alive, *He was a God of MIRACLES and WONDERS.* And God rewarded her faith and gave Ruth the most amazing husband, Boaz and she became the great grandmother of David and eventually our Lord!
