“Labanan natin ang buwaya, labanan natin ang sistema ng kurapsyon sa gobyerno,” Go said.
Senator Go further stated that aside from protests, citizens should remain vigilant to help ensure that the mastermind will be held accountable in accordance with the law for the mess the country is experiencing.
“Dapat po tumbukin iyung buwaya. Iyung mastermind talaga.
Let us hold accountable all those responsible for this mess.”
To recall, Go in a Senate hearing stressed that accountability must cut across all sectors from contractors and implementers to proponents and legislators.
“Mula sa contractors, implementers, maging proponents at legislators, lahat po’y dapat imbestigahan. We must leave no stone unturned.
The senator likewise clarified infrastructure projects are crucial to development if initiated and implemented to benefit the people and not to profit a few through corruption.
Senator Go meanwhile lamented the current state of the nation and asked the citizens to continue praying for the country.
Pilipino tayo. Muslim, Kristiyano, kung ano man ang ating tribo, Pilipino tayo. Magmahalan tayo. Huwag po tayong tumigil. Please pray for the Philippines.”
Go, in the same occasion, cited the recent decision of the Executive to restore the P60 billion in so-called ‘excess funds’ from the National Treasury to the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth).
He mentioned that as early as July 2024, before petitions were filed before the Supreme Court questioning the legality of the transfer, Go, as Chair of the Senate Health Committee at that time, had already raised serious concerns.
Also, on the National Day of Protest Rally, Senator Go asked the Filipinos to continue praying for former President Rodrigo Duterte.
“Ipagpatuloy po natin ipagdasal ang kaligtasan, kalusugan at kalayaan ni Tatay Digong,” Go said.
There will be continued division among Filipinos, according to Go, as long as the former Chief Executive is not returned to his homeland.
