Mayor Sebastian Z. Duterte led the opening and turnover ceremony for the Tibungco Super Health Center and Community-Based Rehabilitation Center on October 27, following their completion and turnover by the Department of Health (DOH) Region XI.
The rehabilitation facility is the first of its kind in the region established through a partnership with the DOH. It aims to help stroke patients regain mobility and improve their quality of life through accessible rehabilitation services.
Meanwhile, the Tibungco Super Health Center is the third such facility handed over to the city government this month. It follows the turnover of similar centers in Malabog, Paquibato District, and Dumoy last week.
With the addition of the Tibungco facility, Davao City now has five Super Health Centers, including those in Toril and Los Amigos. BuyMaps
The facilities were established through the joint efforts of the DOH, the Davao City government, and the Office of Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go.
Senator Go, DOH Region XI representatives, and city and barangay officials also attended the ceremony.
The city government said it would continue working to improve local healthcare services and make essential medical assistance more accessible to Dabawenyos.
