Lieutenant Colonel Enrique Rafael, commanding officer of 48th IB identified the wounded NPA member as Daniel Dellosa alias Axel.
Dellosa, according to Rafael is a political instructor of the NPA’s Weakened Guerilla Front (WGF) 2 was left behind by his fleeing comrades and two others including a minor female were also captured and saved, respectively.
Dellosa was immediately given first aid by the pursuing government troops and eventually moved to the 10th Infantry Division Station Hospital at Barangay Tuboran, Mawab Davao de Oro for further medical treatment.
On the other hand, the two captured rebels were brought to Headquarters of 1001st Brigade in Maco of said province for a custodial debriefing.
Seized from the encounter site were an M-16 rifle; M-14 rifle, and a Caliber. 22 rifle.
Also recovered were back packs containing personal belongings, kilos of rice, medicines, medical paraphernalia, numerous subversive documents, electronic devices such as cellular phones, tablets, external drives, and USBs containing high intelligence values.
Rafael said the area where the clash took place had been a mass base of the NPA before.
“Since the people in the area are already aware of the deceptive propaganda of the enemy, they are now on the government side and actually the ones giving information regarding the presence of the terrorists,” Rafael said.
Rafael said the troops will be relentless in their focused–military operations in running after these terrorists until they will fall.
However, he said, the government is always ready for those who want to return to the folds of the law.
“Our government is very much willing to help for their mainstreaming through the Enhanced-Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) for their future,” Rafael, said.
