San Pedro Chief of Police Major Marvin Hugos identified the victim as Gordon Gildo Gabrinez, 34 who was a resident of said barangay.
The victim who accordingly had an affair with the wife of the suspect, Ravin Mulat Cedeńo, a BPO encoder had sustained multiple stab wounds causing his instant death.
The victim and Cedeño’s wife are both workers of LTO 11.
Investigation showed that prior to the incident, the victim's live-in partner claimed that while using his partner's cellular phone, she found out that he had another love affair with Cedeño’s wife based on the exchange of chat messages via Messenger.
The victim and his partner went to the suspect’s house purposely to settle things up with his wife. However, while they were having a dialogue at the victim’s house, the suspect suddenly stabbed Gabrinez using a kitchen knife.
Cedeño was placed under arrest after he turned himself for custody.
Hugos said a case of murder will be filed against Cedeño.
