Sa pakighinabi kang Brigadier General Benjamin Silo Jr., direktor sa CSG-National di pa dugay, gibutyag niini nga padayon ang ilang kampanya aron mapahibalo ang publiko nga gikinahanglang iparehistro ang ilang mga pusil, unom ka bulan ayha ang expiration date sa ilang lisensya.
“We embark on massive public awareneness and educational campaign against loose firearms,” matod pa ni Silo.
“We encourage the public to be compliant with the provision of the republic act 10591, iparehistro nila yong baril nila 6 months before the expiry date kasi malapit na ang eleksyon,” dugang saysay sa opisyal.
Sumala pa ni Silo, tumong ug tinguha sa Philippine National Police (PNP) nga makunhuran ang gidaghanon sa mga loose firearms.
“These are all intended for the barangay elections na maging peaceful,” ingon ni Silo.
“Hopefully we can achieve significant reduction on or before Barangay elections. We can reduce the numbers of loose firearms by 60 percent,” gikanayon sa opisyal.
Nakatala ang CSG ug kapin 400,000 unregistered firerams sa tibuok nasod. Anaa pa sa kapin 240,000 nagpabiling wa marehistro nga armas.
Ang National Capital Region, Regions 3, 4, ug Mindanao, maoy nakatala sa daghang loose firearms.
“We keep on telling the public to renew their gun licenses on time, they should be responsible gun holders so that they can give their shares in the maintenance of peace and order not only because of Barangay elections but throughout the season,” matod ni Silo.
