Sgt. Sonny Wagdos, an enlisted member of the Philippine Air Force, finished second in the 5,000-meter run for men.
In a Facebook post, Wagdos expressed elation for his win.
"Thank You for the Strength and Guidance, Lord God🙏😊," Wagdos said.
Wagdos, 25, a native of Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur, won a bronze medal in the 2019 and 2022 Southeast Asian Games hosted by the Philippines at the same event.
On April 28, 2022, Wagdos won the gold medal in the 2022 Philippine Athletics Championship at the Philsports Complex, Pasig City.
The PAF personnel are also BIMP-Eaga Friendship Games double gold medalists.
