Holding the Kadiwa ng Pangulo Para sa Manggagawa and job fairs will mark the nationwide celebration which banners the theme: “Pabahay, Bilihing Abot-Presyo, Benepisyo ng Matatag na Trabaho Para sa Manggagawang Pilipino.”
DOLE 11 regional director Atty. Randolf Pensoy bared that the region will be organizing a jobs fair which will offer a total of 1,857 local job vacancies from 38 local employers.
There will be ten (10) overseas employers which will also post their job hiring, Pensoy said during Monday’s (April 24) regular episode of the Kapehan sa Dabaw at SM City Davao by the Philippine Information Agency Region @1 in partnership with SM City Davao.
“The top ten job vacancies offered at the upcoming job fair are sales consultants, tellers, machine operators, marketing professionals, marketing assistants, production workers, accounting staff, production crew, warehouse casual and delivery riders,” he said.
As part of the celebration, DOLE- 11 will also host the Kadiwa ng Pangulo Para sa Manggagawa at Rizal Park in Davao City to provide the farming communities an avenue to sell their goods directly to consumers with quality products and at an affordable price.
“The Kadiwa is providing assistance to the entrepreneurial poor and micro-enterprise nga ang ilahang form sa ilahang pagpanginabuhian dili formal employment. They are workers of the informal economy,” stated Rodrigo Roble, DOLE 11 Integrated Livelihood and Emergency Employment Programs (DILEEP) focal.
Roble said that the farmers will sell products such as milk, egg, dried fish, vegetables, fruits, coffee, cacao products, kakanin products, processed food, banana chips, dried mango, dried squid, handicrafts, black rice, buko pie, and peanuts with dilis.
DOLE 11 will also be conducting livelihood and emergency employment assistance on the same day, to give awards to partner agencies and to turnover cheques as individual assistance to the agency’s beneficiaries. (PIA-XI/Franchette Delfin)
