This morning, Monday (Feb. 28) Duterte and some senatorial candidates of the UniTeam visited the municipality of Libungan, northwestern part of Cotabato province.
Duterte is expected to arrive in Davao City this afternoon. As announced, she will hold a press conference in the city by 5pm upon her arrival from a month-long sortie through her Mahalin Natin Ang Pilipinas Ride (MNAPR) nationwide.
Speaking before crowds of supporters in Libungan, Duterte said the BBM-Sara UniTeam wants to impart two messages for the Filipino citizenry.
“The first is unity. Together we will rise from the hardships brought by the pandemic and second is we should work together for peace to pave the way for development in the country,” Duterte said in vernacular.
On Friday (Feb. 25) Duterte and her team were in Misamis Occidental towards Zamboanga Sibugay the following day, Saturday.
In her Mindanao sortie, Duterte also called for peace saying a peaceful country would lead to a vibrant economy thereby generating more jobs for Filipinos who mostly lost their jobs due to the health crisis.
