Verse of the Day | August 18, 2024
- ξ
The Lord is my light and my salvationβ whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my lifeβ of whom shall I be afraid?
The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation. He is my stronghold, my refuge, and my Saviorβfrom violent people you save me
βPride ends in humiliation, while humility brings honor.β
If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.β
βBut he gives us even more grace to stand against such evil desires. As the Scriptures say, βGod opposes the proud but favors the humble.'β
βA wicked ruler is as dangerous to the poor as a roaring lion or an attacking bear.β
But the Lord sits enthroned forever; he has established his throne for justice.
βAsk and it will be given to you, seek and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you.β
Whoever oppresses a poor man insults his Maker, but he who is generous to the needy honors him
For I the Lord love justice; I hate robbery and wrong; I will faithfully give them their recompense, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.
Many plans are in a manβs heart, But the counsel of the Lord will stand.
Like a roaring lion or a charging bear is a wicked ruler over a poor people.
When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.
βPraise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefitsβwho forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases.β
βNevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security.β
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
