In a statement dated October 27, the Consulate said it had contacted the affected Filipinos and was coordinating with local hospitals and police authorities to assess their condition and determine their need for consular assistance.
Consulate representatives also visited Filipinos who remain hospitalized to check on their condition and provide support.
The Consulate expressed sympathy to those affected and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
Spanish authorities are still investigating the cause and circumstances of the accident. The Consulate said further updates would be provided as information is confirmed, while respecting the privacy of those involved.
