Authorities said the suspect sold around five grams of suspected shabu to an undercover operative in exchange for marked money. The seized drugs from the transaction were estimated to be worth ₱35,000.
A subsequent search also yielded four more sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately 50 grams in total, around four milliliters of suspected marijuana oil, assorted drug paraphernalia, and the marked money used in the operation.
The total seized of suspected illegal drugs had an estimated street value of ₱375,000, according to PDEA 11 Information Officer Noli Dimaandal.
The suspect is set to face charges for alleged violations of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, as amended.
PDEA-11 Regional Director Atty. Benjamin G. Gaspi reiterated the agency’s warning against involvement in the illegal drug trade and urged the public to report suspected drug-related activities in their communities.
