“Please continue to make us effective by being our eyes, our mouth, our ears in your locality,” Mendoza said in her speech during the opening of the weeklong Kalivungan Festival 2026: Yaman ng Cotabato on August 26 at The Basket, Capitol Compound in Amas, Kidapawan City.
She emphasized that without the cooperation and communication of constituents, particularly in reporting what they observe or notice in their communities, the provincial government would not be able to provide the necessary interventions.
The governor made the call following reports of irregularities in some localities.
Mendoza urged the public to continue working with the provincial government to sustain progress, peace and unity throughout Cotabato, saying public cooperation is vital in ensuring good governance and promoting the welfare of its people.
This year’s Kalivungan Festival, held in celebration of the province’s 112th Founding Anniversary, carries the theme “Cotabato@12: A Legacy of Peace, Progress, and Unity.”
The official opening of the Cotabato Trade and Travel Expo on the same day also added to the weeklong festive celebration across the province. Judy Quiros
