Davao City police seize over P15-M shabu in drug bust

The Davao City Police Office ( DCPO ) seized a suspected shabu worth P15.640 million and arrested a high-value target during a buy-bust operation at 6 p.m. here Thursday, May 14, 2026.

DCPO  chief Colonel Peter Madria, who led the operation has   arrested a 22-year old, identified only as Bai, a resident  of Villa Conchita Subdivision, Barangay Bago Gallera, Davao City.

DCPO reported that Bai is listed on the police’s drug watch list  as a high-value individual .

The anti-drugs operatives also seized a .357 caliber revolver pistol loaded with two pieces bullets.

Madria said the  operation demonstrates the unwavering dedication of  DCPO in dismantling illegal drug networks and maintaining peace and order in the city. 

He said DCPO will continue to strengthen intelligence-driven operations, intensify police visibility, and sustain aggressive anti-criminality campaigns to ensure a safer and more secure community for all.

“The DCPO  remains steadfast in its mission to protect the people and preserve the peace. Operations like this are not only aimed at arresting offenders but also at saving lives, protecting the youth, and ensuring that communities in Davao City remain safe from the destructive effects of illegal drugs,”Madria said.

Madria calls  on the public to continue supporting law enforcement efforts through cooperation and vigilance as we work together for a drug-free and peaceful Davao City.

The arrested  suspect  were detained  at the detention cell of Baliok Police Station  while waiting for the filing of charges in violation of the Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms  and Ammunition Regulation Act.
