CENRO Officer-In-Charge Dolores Remojo, in an interview with Madayaw on Thursday, said that they directed the streetsweepers and workers conducting gardening services to bring water to hydrate, and also advised them to rest once they conducted the first round of sweeping
"They may rest and look for a shade preferably collection point, and before going home make sure to sweep again for another round," she said.
Remojo said that the CENRO has 497 streetsweepers under its care. However, though charged in another office, they also manage 300 personnel that help in streetsweeping, gardening, trimming, and the same related tasks.
"Ang streetsweeper nato ang main highway lang ang atong gina-cover before 250 kilometers but karon since naa nata'y coastal sobra na 300 plus kilometers," she said.
Meanwhile, Remojo urged Dabawenyos to continue observing cleanliness in their surroundings and observe proper waste disposal. CIO
