DCPO reported that the suspect, alias Jonathan, 50 years was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Honorable Judge Rio Aiko Vallejoa Indiola, Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, Branch 53, 11th Judicial Region, Davao City, Davao Del Sur.
He was arrested by a joint police tracker team led by Bajada Police Station. According to DCPO, alias Jonathan faces two counts of rape and three counts of sexual assault.
There were no recommended bail for his rape cases, while a bail bond of P120, 000 for his three counts of sexual assault.
DCPO acting chief Colonel Mannan Muarip lauded the operating team for a successful law enforcement operation.
"This significant breakthrough not only highlights the operational excellence, vigilance, and swift action of the personnel involved, but also reinforces the importance of sustained coordination among DCPO units, barangay officials, the local government, and the vigilant Davaoeño community," Muarip said.
DCPO reaffirms its unwavering commitment to delivering justice to the victims and preventing further acts of violence against innocent individuals.
