Army chief lauds 10ID for insurgency-free gains

The Commanding General of the Philippine Army, Lieutenant General Roy Galido, commended the 10th Infantry Division for its significant accomplishments in clearing most of its Joint Operational Area (JOA) of insurgency during his visit to Camp General Manuel T Yan Sr., Tuboran, Mawab, Davao de Oro on July 24, 2025.

Galido in his address to Battalion and Brigade, emphasized the strategic value of 10ID’s operational gains, particularly the insurgency-free declarations across multiple areas.

Galido lauded the relentless efforts of line units that contributed to lasting peace and security in the region.

Galido also urged 10th ID to foster a “new environment” within the ranks—anchored in professionalism, accountability, and genuine transformation.

He reminded the officers and Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) that leadership is a duty to serve soldiers first and a responsibility to the organization and nation—not a privilege for personal gain.

“As we win on the ground, we must also win in character—by building a culture of professionalism, respect, and purpose in every Filipino soldier,” Galido said.

In recognition of outstanding performance in Internal Security Operations, Galido awarded CGPA Streamers to top-performing brigade and battalion units under 10th ID.

Other Army units also received CGPA significant accomplishment and major engagement streamers for high-impact operations, which led to the capture and surrender of high-value individuals (HVIs), recovery of firearms, and disruption of enemy hideouts.
