FEU Tamaraws recruit another Davaoeño Football Talent: Joshua Calamba Earns Full Scholarship

DAVAO CITY — The FEU Tamaraws continue to tap into Davao City’s rich football talent pool as another young athlete secures a full scholarship to join the university’s high school football team.

Joshua Gregory M. Calamba, a promising Grade 8 student of Holy Child College of Davao, has been selected to play as a goalkeeper for the FEU high school football squad. Known for his sharp reflexes and fearless goalkeeping, Calamba is set to bring his skills to the national stage in Metro Manila.

Calamba is currently the goalkeeper for CROCS FC Davao OG and the Holy Child College of Davao - Red Eagles, and has been honing his craft at the Sanbalz Goalkeeping Academy under the mentorship of veteran coach Sandro Balderas for the past six years.

His dedication has paid off with numerous accolades, including Best Goalkeeper and Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards in various local and international competitions. Calamba has proudly represented Davao in prestigious tournaments such as the Singa Cup and the Bangkok Super Cup.

With this latest addition, FEU reinforces its reputation as a home for top-tier footballers from Mindanao, especially Davao City. Calamba now joins the growing roster of Davaoeño players making their mark in the UAAP high school football scene.

As he embarks on this new journey, Calamba carries with him the hopes of his coaches, teammates, and the entire Davao football community.
